Situated in a rough layby on the "south-bound" facet of the A82 Inverness-Fort Augustus trunk road some 9 miles from Inverness Town centre.
This icon of a bygone motoring age lives on , housing an "Emergency and Breakdowns only" telephone today, and no longer locked to non-members,
It even now fulfils a valuable purpose, albeit that if I had a motoring breakdown I would very likely head up the road 100 yards to the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel with all its facilities!
